Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

As far as the move up to 185 goes I think he's making a mistake, he only has the Silva fight at 185, Silva is a terrible matchup for him, if he loses to Silva then what? He should make Silva meet him halfway, fight at a catch-weight then go back to / stay at 170 and let Rory move up.
a catchweight does sound a lot more sensible, maybe he feels a need to move up to fully commit

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

The more I see Diaz counted out the better I feel about his chances. Reminds me of the Gomi, Penn, Zaromskis, Daley, Shamrock, Noons fights. None of those guys are anywhere near the fighter GSP is but Diaz lives for shit like this, keep fueling that fire.

No one is counting out Diaz and I can guarantee you Georges isn't either.

Hypothetically speaking if GSP and Rory win you will see Georges move up. On paper Georges is a 4-1 favorite over Diaz but these guys don't fight on paper. Anything can happen in this sport.

Silva vs Overeem was shocking. Imo the biggest upset of the year so far.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Not really shocking to me...I thought Overeem would win but still thought Bigfoot had a chance especially after the weigh ins when Overeem didnt look as beastly without the roids. Overeem has lost like this in the past.....and it just adds to his hilarious ko loss compilation

If that version of Overeem fights JDS, oh my. Junior will decapitate his head and send it flying by the fourth row.
