Theodore Robert Bundy FBI File

Theodore (Ted) Bundy was wanted for questioning in as many as 36 murders in Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Florida and Washington. In June 1977, the FBI initiated a fugitive investigation when Ted Bundy escaped from a Colorado courthouse where he was on trial for murder. He was recaptured but escaped again, in December 1977, from the Garfield County Jail in Colorado. He was placed on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list and was subsequently arrested, using an alias, by the local authorities in Florida for a stolen car violation in February 1978. In 1979, he was sentenced to death and ultimately executed for the murder of two Florida State University sorority sisters.

Re: Theodore Robert Bundy FBI File

This FBI file concerns Theodore Robert Bundy's June 1977 escape from custody in Aspen, Colorado, while he was facing a Colorado murder charge and was confined under a Utah aggravated-kidnapping conviction. The FBI opened a fugitive matter under the federal unlawful-flight statute and circulated instructions to Salt Lake City, Denver, and Seattle to locate him. Released records include a federal complaint and warrant paperwork, case-status forms, teletype messages warning that Bundy should be considered armed and dangerous, and press clippings about the search after his courthouse escape. The file also includes a February 1978 inventory of property recovered from a 1966 Ford station wagon, including packaging, receipts, license plates, and a latent fingerprint lift.

FBI file number: SU 88-6895 | Documents span: 1977-1978 | Released in 3 parts
Names in this file: Theodore Robert Bundy, James W. McConkie II, Daniel A. Alsup, Melvon C. Jensen, Bill Oefinger
Subjects: fugitive search, escape, unlawful flight, federal warrant, evidence inventory, Ted Bundy

They threw the switch January 24, 1989. Bundy had 10-years following conviction to file appeals, visit family, sit for interviews and bask in his celebrity. He did not grant the dozens of innocent girls and women that he raped, maimed and murdered 10 minutes in their sentences.

Re: Theodore Robert Bundy FBI File

Their description of him is interesting.
One of the sentences: “clear blue eyes which is somewhat of an attracting feature”

True, true.
Us ‘clear blue-eyed’ folks are often attractive. :-)

Ive noticed that many of those that arent, or cant be, are often jealous of such.
