Re: My Experience with Sleep Paralysis - INCREDIBLE Experience
I've had this experience a couple of times. I felt the presence of something else was in the room with me and i couldn't move or scream. All i could do was hum. It was terrifying. |

Re: My Experience with Sleep Paralysis - INCREDIBLE Experience
Stuff like that happened to me alot when I was younger. Its scary as hell. This is gonna sound dumb but I got so scared when it happened I started sleeping on my mom and dads bedroom floor at night so when it happened they were there. This started when I was about 12 and I didn't start sleeping in my own room til I was 15. Like when I'd "wake up" I'd hear men talking in scary voices and when I would try to move or yell for my mom I couldn't move. I can't explain it..its terrifying. It was also embarrassing being a teenager and sleeping on mom and dads bedroom floor because of "nightmares". It hasn't happened since I started going in my own room at 15, and im 23 now so its been a few years.

Re: My Experience with Sleep Paralysis - INCREDIBLE Experience
Ive had episodes of SP for years now. Im actually glad this topic has been brought up on here and a discussion of this magnitude has taken place, Ive actually learned alot more about it thanks to you guys. For me Ive never seen figures of any kind so the first time it happended it was really scary but I didnt even think 'abduction' or 'paranormal' but I was just freakin out. My SP usually occurs just as Im falling asleep and once Im there ... Im there for how ever long it last. I cant bring myself out it no matter how much I try. Nowadays when it happens I play around with it because it is so weird I can move every part of my body and my mind tells me that what ever selected body part is moving and I can even feel the sensation but Im not moving at all. Its just really strange. On about half the occasions I can open my eyes just as it is coming on so I can see just what my eyes are focused on at the time it sets in. Once it became a normal occasion I placed mirrors in different locations just so I could see what was happening in reality and no matter how much I felt like I was moving and no matter how much my mind told me I was moving, I really wasnt moving. Ive since gotten rid of all the mirrors mainly because its only an odd occurance when my eyes are focused right to actually see myself and having mirrors everywhere is kinda weird so... But for anybody who is curious what you look like when in SP its kinda boring. In my case anyway. Because with me I cant move my eyes I mean I cant move anything so it would make a really boring vid. For me nowadays it is kinda fun to play with when it happens but it still remains a very strange kinda unnerving event. Im really interested in learning more about it. The astral traveling stuff seems like a really wild concept, very awsome experience I guess I got something else to research. Anyways thanks for the post and the discussion. |

Re: My Experience with Sleep Paralysis - INCREDIBLE Experience
this is pretty neat, i have yet to experience anyhting like that. but im obsessed with my dreaming. i try to keep a journal that i write down my dreams in, i write down every little detail i can remember. after doing this a few times you notice your dreams are more and more vivid, common colors, objects, and people etc. then you start being capable or recalling your dreams every time you wake up, to being able to recall as much as 8 dreams each night. i do this in hopes of being able to lucid dream. since starting this journal a few months ago ive had 2. and it is the most incredible experience i have ever had in my life.

Re: My Experience with Sleep Paralysis - INCREDIBLE Experience
Yes, I've read through that thread before and it's certainly one of the paranormal elements that is explained by SP. In your previous post you mentioned how you can control your dreams and help yourself in doing so by counting your fingers. That's called Lucid Dreaming. I haven't been able to do it before but I've tried. Usually when I realize I'm dreaming I end up waking up despite not wanting to. It's happened a few times where I've been about to have sex with a super hot woman, then realized I was dreaming, thought to myself "no, keep dreaming" but only to wake up very dissapointed. LOL!! |
