Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
Since I already answered the Virgin Mary question as to whether or not it is possible, and it does seem from a scientific standpoint that it is possible even if vanishingly rare. As to whether or not it actually happened as recorded in the New Testement is a matter for debate. It was prophesied in the Tenakh. As to whether or not this man Yehoshuah lived at that time is not much of a matter for debate since the graffiti artists of that day left markings that mocked his disciples for believing in him after he was crucified. Later, Roman secular historians also wrote of him. There are enough extra biblical texts referring to him. Even the Talmud refers to him. So, I am not sure what your objection to those verses actually is. Since you start off whining because you don't like my style I don't even know where to go with that. You don't have to ask me questions and then complain in advance how I might answer. If answering someone according to his foolishness pricks his pride... then so be it. To me it is the height of arrogance to mock and ridicule what you know nothing of and have not thoroughly researched. You say you know the bible and religion and it's a load of crap. Ok. So...show me what you know. So far you have picked an easy problem. And even if Yehoshuah was not the product of a virgin birth that does not invalidate his existence or his effect on billions of people all over the world. Why not show me you know what he actually said? Or show me what the Lord's Prayer originates from? Show me you at least looked that up. |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
You started interacting with me with that. You want to talk to me about arrogance? You're the most arrogant person on this site. You explain the Virgin Mary with a long winded, boring tale about stem cells? Are you serious? I don't care where the lord's prayer originates from. Why would I deeply research something when the surface details make it so obvious that it's a joke? I've read the bible. Virgin birth. God giving one guy a list of commandments (how convenient it was a perfectly rounded 10). No record of Jesus between ages 12 and 30. It's a poorly written book, although it's done a masterful job of controlling the masses. I don't need to show some arrogant douche canoe on a gore site what I know. Do you realize how much of a prick it makes you look like to demand someone show you what they know? Get over yourself. |

If you like the code in the bible you'll love the code in the holy Koran. And don't get me started on the code within Charlie and the chocolate factory, it's a motherfucking hoot.

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
I'm surprised (kinda). No long winded, boring, barely related to the topic rants from the mind of John? You know you can't explain any of that without using the word "faith" so you just put an emoticon up there. Go back to your fairy tales and pretending you're the smartest person around. |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
It was you who said you knew something. Seems like you excel at making personal attacks. Ad Hominem attacks are the resort of a fool who has lost a debate because he has nothing with which to defend his position. |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
Yeah, that's certainly something someone like you would say. I've seen your comments in the pit bull threads, Bill's 9/11 thread, etc. I have no interest in being civil with an arrogant, pretentious, gasbag like you. I never intended on interacting with you, based on those comments I read. You sought me out, so it happened anyway. So go on thinking you've won this "debate" we had, since that's obviously a large part of your self-worth. |
