Dahmer died the year before I started writing. I used to write to the guy that killed him though. Christopher Scarver. They transfered him somewhere and I can't find him at all. Nowhere in Wisconsin, not in the federal system..its like they're hiding him.

I'm not sure how many penpals he has. He seemed really happy to have someone to write in the letter I got, so I'm guessing he don't have many.

Heinrich Pommerenke comes from Mecklenburg(East-Germany) and in 1953 he came to West-Germany where he lived in Raum (southern Germany) where at an early age he committed simpler crimes, robberies and sex crimes.


Also in the Austrian Bregenz he committed robberies, in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen, he was convicted for rape.

With a dense series of murders and murder attempts he roamed the area of the Black Forest and left the people in fear and terror.

Here, he showed a certain affinity for trains, railway stations and dams, but without a single modus operandi should be so long that his deeds not connected, and brought him after his arrest could be fully mapped.

Pommerenke lived during this time in Hornberg.
The subsequent confession Pommerenkes that he visit a screening of the film strip "The Ten Commandments" by Cecil B. DeMille in a cinema in Karlsruhe in February 1959 the trigger for his murder series, the four women became his victims.

After the movie presentation of the dance around the golden calf easily held by women, he had come to the realization that women are the cause of all evil and that the mission he had to punish them.

On the same evening he celebrated in a park near the cinema his first murder, he had raped and murdered, by cutting the throat of 48 year old Hilde Konter.


The corpse was found on 26 February 1959 at the motorway junction Karlsruhe-Durlach.

In March 1959 Pommerenke abused, in a wooden hut on the outskirts of Hornberg, the 18-year-old Karin Wädle.


He killed the young woman with a stone and threw her corpse on the river embankment at the nearby railway embankment, her corpse was found on March 25 at the banks of the Gutach.

On 30 May 1959 Pommerenke climbed through an open window in a house in Singen where he tried to strangle a 18 year-old girl, that slept in her parents' bed, while her parents weren't home.

The victim however freed herself and called for help, where upon Pommerenke fled.
The woman was able to give the police an exact physical description the following day.
The police did not relate the two previous killings to this act.

Pommerenke ascended in May 1959 shortly before midnight in Heidelberg, the holiday special train D 969 after Finale Ligure on the Italian Riviera.

Aboard the train, he murdered the 21 year-old Dagmar Klimke by a knife stab in the chest, threw her corpse from the moving train on the Rhine Valley Railway towards Basel short Freiburg near the breakpoint Ebringen and then pressed the emergency brake, so that the train came to a standstill for about two kilometers further south from the city.


Pommerenke got out, went to the corpse of his victim, dragged her into a nearby field, where he raped the corpse.
* Other reports tell she was still alive when he raped her and slit her throat afterwards.

Dagmar Klimke was reported missing the following morning by traveling girlfriends.
When the train was already in the Swiss Bellinzona, a connection with the emergency brake at Sound City - where two witnesses saw a figure climbing out of the train- was initially not made.

Only on 5 June 1959 Klimkes' corpse was found on the railway embankment at Ebringen and the forensic examination revealed the cause of death as a knife stab, while the other injuries due to the falling from the train as a postmortem proved.

The investigation of the Freiburg police initially came to a dead end, because the wagon in question, was cleaned for several times, so that no more traces could be secured.

Even from the trip with great technical effort questioning of passengers to their destinations in Italy came up with nothing.

On 2 June 1959 just before the announcement of the Klimpe murder case, Pommerenke attacked a 25-year-old waitress near the railway station of Triberg.
He beat her with an iron stick and stole her handbag.

On 6 June 1959 in Karlsruhe Pommerenke as a cyclist injured two women by stabbing a knife in their back.

On 8 June Pommerenke climbed through an open window at night where he got in the room of a 15-year-old girl and severely injured her by stabbing her in the neck using his knife.
Her father heard something and managed to hit him when he was fleeing the scene. The police found an imprint of Pommerenke's shoe.

On 9 June 1959 Pommerenke raped, near Baden-Baden, 16-year-old Rita Walter Pacher, strangled her and deposited her corpse in a forest, where the following day she was found.


Investigators couldn't find any traces at the scene that linked to Pommerenke.

On 10 June 1959 Pommerenke stole a small rifle and air pistol during a burglary in a gun shop in Baden-Baden.
With this gun, he attacked, on 18 June a desk officer at the Karlsruhe-Durlach train station.
He captured 540 Mark and escaped undetected.

On the same day in Hornberg in a clothes store he ordered a suit, under his own name, and left a package containing his worn clothes , and the in Baden-Baden captured small gun there.
He told he would return to collect the package the same day his suit would arrive.

At the scene of the train station where also his footprint was found on June 18 , and the description of the service pistol, the police had evidence of a connection between the june 8 burglary and attacks.

Next day the clothes store owner detected the small gun in the left package and brought it to the police station together with his worn clothes and his name and address.
Police arrested him a short while later at the train station in Hornberg.

He received 6 times life sentence + 15 year for other offenses that made a total of 165 years imprisonment.

In December of 2008 he was diagnosed with leukemia and was transfered to the prison hospital Hohenasperg
