First Things a 14 Year Old Captive Asks for
Included in these documents is a transcript of the 911 call the girls made when they finally escaped by jumping out a window. The girls’ stepfather, Fernando Richter, 34, and their mother, Sophia Richter, 32, were booked into the Pima County jail Nov. 26. Both face three counts of kidnapping, three counts of emotional child abuse and three counts of physical child abuse. Fernando Richter also faces one count of sexual abuse with a person under 15 years old. The girls were kept isolated and in filthy conditions for up to two years, according to police reports. Two of the three escaped when a knife-wielding Richter broke down their bedroom door, police said. They ran to a neighbor’s house and the police were called. Gaps in the transcript of the 911 call indicate information that was redacted by the Tucson Police Department. |
