Frank Sturgis, born Frank Fiorini, was an American adventurer involved first with Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution and later with anti-Castro exile activity in Florida and the Caribbean. These FBI records show the Bureau tracking his movements, associates, aircraft activity, and public claims in connection with Cuban revolutionary and anti-Castro operations. The file includes 1958 El Paso reporting on a C-46 aircraft connected to Fiorini and suspected arms movement, 1959 Norfolk memoranda and newspaper clippings about his service with Castro, possible loss of citizenship, and the Diaz Lanz leaflet raid over Havana. It also includes a 1961 Justice Department referral about the publicity given to an intercepted telegram involving a suspected Castro agent, and 1967 Miami, San Antonio, and Mexico communications about a reported plan to blow up a Cuban ship in a Mexican port.
