FBI File on the Austin Yogurt Shop Murders

This file concerns the 1991 murders of four girls at the yogurt shop at 2949 West Anderson Lane in Austin, Texas. The FBI's San Antonio office coordinated requested assistance from the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime after Austin police, ATF, and Texas DPS began investigating the robbery, killings, and fire. A December 24, 1991 FBI communication describes the discovery of the bound and badly burned victims, the suspected effort to destroy evidence, and the transfer of photographs, autopsy reports, and Austin Police Department reports for behavioral analysis. The released material also includes 2000 FD-192 evidence-property records for hair slides and debris recovered from ligatures, clothing, and toilet paper.
