X-ray of the hand and wrist of Tsar Nicholas II, 1898 : At the Tsar's request, a doctor brought his X-ray apparatus to the palace at St. Petersburg in the winter of 1898. This photographic print is not only a specimen of one of the earliest X-ray images but is also particularly notable for its subject and for the clarity of the bones and cufflink. Despite its diagnostic value, this new technology was also enjoyed by the public - and even royalty - for its novelty.

Very nice post, I love how clear the image is. I remember hearing about the X-ray fad when it was first invented, to the point x-ray rooms were invented. So people can see their, and other peoples, skeletons move. Nobody got cancer or anything.
