The very first pic is of a car that was subjected to U.S. anti-aircraft fire during the Pearl Harbor attack. If I remember right, either 3 or 5 members of the same family were carpooling when the shell landed near them and exploded. It was an accident, but I think the U.S. government paid compensation for the deaths.
