This man's skull was sliced apart in layers in order to help teach about the brain. This looks to be a really old image, so this was probably done quite some time ago.

Isn't it weird? Really. Look at that. A BRAIN just filling that cranium up, with things like eyeballs connected to it...and.... well. So intricate and bizzare. Like electricity and telephones. Hahaha..yup, I'm in a weird mood.  |

Years ago when I was serving my apprenticeship there was a doctor that brought his 1944 Ford to the repair facility that I was working at. He was an STD doctor and had some ancient medical journals in the back of the car me and some of the guys used to leaf through. The classic cut-away pictures must have been a popular thing long before x-rays and CT scans because it was full of them. I sure would like to get my hands on those books now, I could have been a top poster!
