It's probably a South Vietnamese soldier with the knife.
To small and skinny for most US boys. Not that they were above that. All soldiers do this to some extent. Hardly and incriminating photo. Many interrogations are alot of show and bravado. Good interrogators use there smarts not brawn. Real torture is practicaly usless in getting the truth out of someone.
