Great pics. The one with the firing squad refers to the execution of some of Otto Skorzeny´s commando (some 150 were uniformed in American Uniforms and gear) to create confusion on the Bulge offensive. Since they were caught with American Uniforms, by the Geneva Convention, were tried and spies and executed.

Great pics. On regards to the one with the firing squad, it refers to german soldiers being executed. They formed part of a 150 commando unit(same that rescued Mussolini), that was run by SS Coronel Otto Skorzeny. They wore american uniforms and created lots of confusion in the battle. Given the fact that they wore american uniforms they were tried as spies and executed.
