Severed Head Of Japanese Soldier On Tank
The severed head of a Japanese soldier is propped up below the gun turret of a disabled Japanese tank in the Solomon Islands in 1943. I read here that Derek Riggs, the man who has painted many of Iron Maiden albums covers, got the idea for Eddie, Iron Maidens mascot, from a picture of a Japanese soldiers head stuck on a tank. I'm unsure if that is true!!  · |

i figured this was gunna be some lame dead head thats barely visible on top of a tank. youve exceeded my expectations :] he's definitely got his war face on |

thanks! I saw this picture many years ago while in middle school, and havn't seen it since, but have even searched for it... with no luck.I was beginning to doubt my memory. |
