Serial Killer Victim
Lemuel Smith was a serial killer from the Albany, New York area who was apprehended on the 19th of August, 1977 for the murders of 6 women. The pic below is that of Maralie Wilson, who was strangled to death by Lemuel and dumped beside a railroad in Schenectady.

I forgot to add that she was also mutilated, but I did not find any posts elaborating on the weapon of choice for Mr Smith. He could'e bashed her face in with his feet, but the wounds don't look consistent with a beating. So a sharp object, perhaps an ice pick, is the safest bet.

So ending a bad guy's life will magically eradicate (or deter) all the scum in the world. Then why is the phrase "you can't take me alive" even a thing? The criminals are more deterred by the prospect of perpetual isolation from family, friends and freedom than death. Just the idea of being locked in a cell for the rest of their life has been shown to disturb many inmates, and death-row inmates repeatedly stated that they just "want the job done". By killing them, you're ironically sparing them from what you think they deserve (perpetual misery) and that contradicts your barbaric "eye-for-an-eye" philosophy. I hate the magical fairy-tale thinking that comes with the far right, build a wall and all our problems will be gone.... likewise you see it with some sheepish Democrats/pseudo-liberals and gun control but like gun control, pro-death penalty positions are a prime example of fairy-tale thinking. But, yes, let's just keep on killing and while we're at it, bring back the fucking guillotine. |
