Somehow I still don't believe this was a lightning strike.It doesn't make sense that one leg would be burned while the other leg is fine.

I struggle with it too, but I can't think what else would do that.

I've seen lightning strikes up close and they have been all different in their intensity. If you become the main conductor it will blow you up.
