Some are pics of collaborators. Other times, the Germans didn't go to the trouble of rounding people up and sending them to concentration camps. They just entered towns and marched everyone just out of town to be shot.

Some of the pictures are also in an old book I have, it's about the SS in early French occupation. And more cruelties during the War. Very informative, but cruel... If I find it I can add the story behind some of the pictures.. One of them reminds me of the pit where Jews and the likes where being collected, on top of 'Quick Lime' (Calcium Oxide) and once the people where spread out over the 'Unslaked Lime' they poured water over them from a nearby rail-car, thus activating the Quick Lime and burning them alive...   |

Anatoliy Kuznetsov "Babi Yar" - this gentleman witnessed all of this when he was 10 years old and put all his memories into this book. It is translated into English, whoever loves history MUST read it. Kiev city, place where mass executions took place called Babi Yar. After germans took Kiev they executed 10's of thousands of jewish people in1 or 2 days. Executions continued for the next 2-3 years. They later began to shoot other nationalities. What is really fucked up is that executions were performed by Ukranians who volunteered to serve Third Reich and during our days new Ukranian government calling those people heroes fighting against Soviet Union for Ukranian nation..  |
