Loggers And Their Heavy Load (1890's)
This picture was taken in the 1890's and shows a group of loggers hauling a heavy load. It is hard to even picture how they got the logs stacked that high. It is also hard to imagine how they keep it from tipping over.  · |

Actually the runners on the bottom of the sleigh make it slide easier on the snow, plus in the summer, they build a road to use as a skidway during the winter.

mules, and unfortunately, they do expect them to pull it. Mules are powerful animals, but hell that is way too overloaded REGARDLESS of the runners.
