It's not too different than what the Russians did during the Siege of Leningrad in WWII. They ate sawdust, glue, paper, rats, horses, household pets....the siege lasted for close to 900 days, in such insane times, the need to survive can make a person do some pretty insane things.

I understand starvation leads to many drastic things. What I mean is burying people alive and than eating everyone is sorta a contradiction.

As with the boy eating himself. I just doubt young child would be able to rip flesh off himself in extreme pain to eat it. Seems physically impossible.

I feel so bad for the Ukrainian people and the individuals who had to endure this. I hope the people in that country have learned a lesson about their Russian neighbors and will never let this happen again.

History is written by the victors. The soviets killed over 100 million people from the start of the Bolshevik revolution until the fall of communism. Whether it was direct executions, sending people to the gulags, confiscating farms and letting people starve, it is the biggest genocide in history. Then don't forget about the millions killed in Latin America because of communist revolutions and even today look at the whole Ukraine saga.
