Havent seen this photo before and I thought I had seen all the Hiroshima photos!!!!Amazing!! And horrible too.

The behavior of the Japanese in conducting war was by far the most atrocious of the axis powers.

Stopping the war via the two atomic strikes likely saved millions of Japanese lives had an invasion been necessary, because they would never have surrendered. They were convinced the Americans were cannibals, and before the post-surrender landing of allied troops in Japan, the Americans had to launch a propaganda campaign to try and stop the huge number of Japanese suicides taking place.

The War was allready brought within the original Japanese territory...by the Russians who invaded several Japanese islands.
The Japanese morale was realy low at that point, they had no food and almost no ammo to support their own army in Japan itself, everything was focussed at fighting off the Americans who where still months away from the japanese mainland.
It was estimated that it only would have token the russian troops a few weeks to crush the japanese army.
And rumours say that this was the main reason to put the atomic bombs into action.
USA allready lost the race to Berlin. So loosing Tokyo was not an option
