Here, and in Dresden, when people made the mistake of coming out of their basements to flee they would instantaneously burst into flames and become human torches. Many were reduced to two smouldered leg stubs carbonized to the road beneath them. I once read an account of a woman who lived through Dresden and Hamburg. The story she wrote was by her account all one night, but when analyzing it was quite clear it was 4 or 5 separate incidents. Pretty much she was so traumatized by the events her brain blended all the things together and scrambled her brain into one compacted thought. |

War is unpleasant and these attacks shortened the war and saved many other lives. Never forget this was the second time Germany had done this in 20 or so years. Those invaded whose countries where attacked by them and suffered deaths, maiming and tortutured by them wanted to make sure the arrogant fuckers didnt do it again. Yes, depopulation was neccessary to ensure there where limited human and materiel resources so as to stop them from doing the same again in say 20 years in 1965. They started the bloody thing and got what France, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Poland, Russia and all the other Eastern nations blitzed and wiped out by their destroy everything and everyone policies as they wanted the land to be populated by good clean living germans not the native populace. Yes they reaped what they sowed end of story. |
