Not a soldier as such but:

The Soviets attempted a coup against the Lithuanian people, as they struggle to break away from the Soviet Union. On January 13, 1991, Soviet tanks rolled to seize various targets. Unarmed citizens served as human shields. One of the legs under the tank belong to a 23 year old woman. In the hospital she asked the doctor if she will be able to marry. (The tank crushed her pelvis and she was referring to the ability to have children.) She died a few hours later. Her family buried her in a wedding dress.
