That's because they werent christians to begin with. Unfortunately most people who claim to be followers of Christ are not. Look at today how many christians in name only support the military waging war against a people it has no business going to war against. Look at their support of the police state. Being a devout Roman Catholic I can say that we do have our share of bad history and scandals. The church is both divine and human. Please take note of that last part.

Furthermore. There was a time several people were claiming to be the pope before the glory of technology to keep track. So there were several impostors beside the real one. I'm lead to believe this was made under one of those impostors claiming they were the Catholic Church and they really weren't.

We did however, take responsibility for every action and made progress to change it. Yes it hurt us, but...we're still here.

The problem now, lies on the person who doesn't understand that WE'RE ALL HUMAN. We're not perfect angels and never claimed to be. We do our best to follow but we do fall short of what's really expected of us. In that we can only ask forgiveness. I'm only saying this because some of the comments on here are really just jumping to conclusions thinking we allowed this to go on. That and just brimming the hatred toward others just because they're Catholic. I really don't think it's going to fix anything.

Then again, everyone on here doesn't have a face so it's easy to just lay it thick with the insults. Ah well, Peace be with you :)
