War is war. All countries committed acts during the war that can be viewed as unnecessary and horrible. At the time, they may have been justified through the eyes of the people committing the crimes. Hitler killed lots of people, Stalin killed lots of people- in their own countries and the countries they invaded. The allies killed lots to, we nuked Japan, horrible, yes, necessary- at the time, I would say yes to end the war- horrible now absolutely.
