Re: Atomic Bomb Victims, 1945
America did not have a "war like culture". Japan, however, did. Going back centuries. Japan was growing in economic might that fueled military growth and enabled them to indulge their long held dreams of Empire born of delusions of their supposed "divine" racial superiority. Japan's extremely brutal and sustained rape of China and the subjugation of it's peoples preceeded the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor by years. Japan most certainly deserved every hardship and privation that it suffered. It was in no way caused by the US. Karma will have it's way. |

Yeah, at least the Pearl Harbor was on an actual military target (boo fucking hoo, especially when we goaded them into attacking us), not fucking civilian cities. The US gov has always had free reign to commit atrocities, while hypocritically painting its opponents as the true savages. |

Re: Atomic Bomb Victims, 1945
Well, we did firebomb and nuke them to rubble, and then occupied their country and subjected them to "reeducation". There's still US bases in Japan. That tends to demoralize a people.
