i have a crime book that has alot of weegee's photos in it. the police use to say they think he did some of the crimes to get to the crime scene right before or at the same time as the cops.

Hopefully this is in the right spot. I was rather interested with this guy. If its in the wrong spot do let me know or if a mod could move it much appreciated. Unsure if these are reposts, and hopefully most i have all belong together. There are a few near the end which belong to different photographers who's names i didn't snag, but will be sorta separate from the weegee photos, since i didnt want to make a separate thread for them.

Weegee worked in the Lower East Side of New York City as a press photographer during the 1930s and '40s, and he developed his signature style by following the city's emergency services and documenting their activity.[1] Much of his work depicted unflinchingly realistic scenes of urban life, crime, injury and death. Weegee published photographic books and also worked in cinema, initially making his own short films and later collaborating with film directors such as Jack Donohue and Stanley Kubrick.
