Will Smith Bitch Slaps Chris Rock for Joke About Jada
In what has to go down as one of the more memorable and historical moments in the history of the Oscars, an angered Will Smith slaps Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife (referring to a GI Jane 2 because of Jada's balding/thinning hair on head). After the jab about Jada, Will Smith walks onstage during the 'live' show and slaps Rock. Consequently, Rock says that it was just a joke. An irate Smith shouts, "Keep my wife's name out your fucking mouth!" (x2). This is the unedited version without the censor. |

Will comes across as heavy-handed and arrogant. Living the high life as a recognized star for over 25 years has gone to his head. Yeah, maybe it wasn't such a funny joke. It's the reaction to the joke that is the issue. (BTW, do you think if a white star slapped a black host for making a bad joke about his wife that the public/audience would react the same way? Just think about it.)(OR if a black star slapped a white host?) But somehow, a black on black on live television is "acceptable"? |

“The Academy does not condone violence of any form,” the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tweeted following the ceremony. yes you did and even awarded him. So he laughs about it and then cracks and gets violent and even after that he decided to go foulmouth on live tv instead of counting to 10. That means he's mentally unstable imo. Oscars awards come with a bit of roasting and it's not she's dying or anything ffs. |

Chris Rock is Chris Rock. Most of his material is VERY offensive, but also totally HILARIOUS! Will Smith should have just ignored it. And if Jada is so sensitive, why didn't she wear a wig? She can afford it. And yeah, she's not terminally ill, so ease up, Will. |

I get why Will Smith was pissed about the joke as it was in bad taste considering Jada's condition, but physical violence is not an acceptable reaction. Will strutting his massive privilege as he was not arrested or at least removed from the show for assault. Chris Rock might have not even known she has a condition but who knows. |
