Excellent post - didn't pay that much attention to this incident at the time because I was so heavily ensconced in my job. I had totally forgotten how unbelievably high the body count was - 33 dead (+/- 3), 25 wounded. And victims that died were shot an average of 3 times each. 28 (+/- again, sorry if I'm off) died from shots to the head. But aside from accounts of students working to barricade classroom doors, there isn't really any description of any other actions taken to stop the shooter, at least not in comparison with how long and successful his seige was. This is interesting - it's unlikely that such a large group of students behaved as passively as it appears they did. So it makes me wonder how on earth this kid, anxiety ridden and mentally ill, or not, possessed the tremendous breadth and depth of skills necessary to execute such an effective massacre. Especially against what I'm sure were actually many very brave, impulsive young adults that I promise you were doing their damnedest to stop him. It's just too weird - there is something about this guy or some element of this case that has been withheld from the public. It just doesn't make sense that this random, shy weirdo pulls off a massacre that puts seasoned terrorists to shame. I don't mean that to sound insensitive - its just like, how could anyone pull that off so effectively? Does it seems weird to anyone else? (I'm not a conspiracy person, by the way. This case just struck me as so off.)

'standard operation procedure' maybe he had vitals when they got to him and he died after the cuffs started. also, 'Ax Ishmael'? maybe he planned it well. ty for posting, very much appreciated. also here is my contribution; a revision of timeline, that could have saved more lives??   · |

I had interested a lot about this case when it had happened watched documentaries and found a report about his psychological condition. As far as I remember this guy had more than one psychological illness signs according to his counselor. I still cant believe how he owned a gun, his barber had said that he just talked just a few words in the last 1-2 years just what his roomates claimed about him. He was on depression drugs, highly anti-social ( well anyone can be anti-social but people at least talk to their relatives ) and he can attain semi-automatic weapons  And just like in Columbine police involved very late. US cops are very successful to beat homeless guy, blacks ( when they're 1 to 5  ) and protestors.

you dont turn out like cho by chance. He was probably the tool, but not the brains behind the operation. Fear and gun control are the two major goals. That is why it happens so many times in the usa...you refuse to give up your guns. No other countries needed more than one or two to change the laws and disarm its citicens. finland and germany refused to give up their guns because one guy lost it, but after a couple more shootings, they caved. Disarm first, genocide next....  |
