I'm sure it exists but probably being kept under lock and key. I'd like to see it but I am sort of glad it's not out there. Some asshole would probably save it and send it to the kid when she's 16 or something and retraumatize her.

I was about 9 when I first shot a gun. The people who let me do it did a fantastic job of drilling into my head that, while it was a tool essential for their survival (being that they're from the deep, deep south and hunting was, and still is, an essential source for food), this thing I was holding was created to kill. I resent this kids parents and every parent like them. A gun is serious business. Clearly. Letting a kid shoot a gun should never be b/c its cute. This guy that got his head blown off was just trying to make a living. And the kids parents killed him, as far as I'm concerned. |

Shit happens. The instructor should have been standing behind the girl instead of beside her. He would have had a better view of her stance and her grip. An Uzi fires 9mm rounds, which have very low recoil. On the single occasion that I fired one, I was actually surprised at just how low the recoil was even on full-auto. Of course, I wasn't a 9-year-old girl at the time; but my point is that it's a manageable kick as long as you don't try to empty out the entire magazine in one pull. Short controlled bursts is the name of the game.  |
