The public would never allow it to happen, I don't just mean the American public, but the rest of the world too, I would hope that if there was any hint that America was about to declare war on ANY other country, that the American public and the public in whatever countries backed them, would storm government and oust our leaders, WITH the full support of their respective military forces.

I know right?! when I read that part it cracked me up, the government will just say anything to try and garner support for another war, unfortunately for them the sad truth is the American public have changed from the "Invade those fuckers and kill em all!!" attitude that was so prevalent post 9/11, to an attitude that, if there were to be another terrorist attack on US soil would sound more like "well, we actually deserve it now". Thats my opinion anyways.

I dunno, I thought for sure Bush was gonna do it back when he labeled Iran as one of the "axis of evil" nations... IMHO that was a truly scary time because he had convinced the majority of people that the Iraq war was justified, and that Iraq was somehow connected to 9/11. I don't think Obama is dum enough to start another war, but my bigger fear is that when he loses the election it could be some wing nut like Bachman or Perry that replaces him..... In that case, look the fuck out. |

We've been in a cold war with Iran for over thirty years. What do you think all the blood spilled in Israel and Palestine is financed by? Iran has been using proxies against Israel and US interests since Khomeini came to power. Please do not let liberal or conservative bias blind you to the fact that the Iranians are not backward, cave dwelling morons. They are very sophisticated and have been playing their cards like a poker champion. They had front row seats to learn not to repeat Soviet or Iraqi mistakes. Why else do you think such a blatant threat to Western hegemony hasn't been destroyed or tamed? For thirty years! I don't know the credibility of the allegations made in this case but I do know Iranian history very well to tell you this should been examined within a greater historical context. |
