Sad thing is though, with the Islamic Republic being more than 30 years old, many of the young generation don't remember how it used to be, during its most brutal days. They also think that the monarchy was worse than the regime today. They have this mentality of US/West vs. powerful, and culturally rich Iran. The people there are totally brainwashed. They want Westernization with an authoritarian system. It's very, very complicated but there are some books I can refer you to if you are interested.

I think everyone here pretty much has the same stand point, that America is the single most deceitful nation on earth and will say just about anything to start a war with whatever country they see fit, but preferrably if they're Islamic.
