Re: USA Gearing Up For Future War With Iran??

Iran would be a more formidable military opponent, but a easier war than either Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran is more developed, a more educated people. With a large young population that would see us as liberators. And more capable of securing their own futures with our militarys help. It would be ignorant to not believe our military and cia are not already involved in creating the footing for these Iranians who will work with us.
As an educated population, they are also very aware of the Government ( the Shah ) that the US put in place prior to the islamic revolution.
If you think getting the getting the citizens of Iraq or Afghanistan to accept American occupation was hard, it would look like a picnic compared to Iran.
If you think anybody in the middle east wants to be invaded by America, you're an idiot.

Money should never determine safety. Fear should never determine reaction. The price of doing nothing will be greater than cost of doing nothing.
The hipcocrisy of the far right...... Iraq and the wasted trillions are the case in point.
Your right though, fear should never determine reaction, if it did Iraq would have never happened.

Because Iran is a large threat, and its not like there aren't missions in Africa. Saudi Arabia Jails more terrorist than any other nation. So they are working with us.
A threat to who though, America? I don't see how the US is under any real threat from Iran. Israel is under threat but i don't see how the US could justify a pre emptive assault based on that.

US is not under existential threat from Iran, but economic threat. Iran wants to have a say in everything in the Middle East, and possibly the world. They want this kind of political leverage, and can really influence the price of oil, which would be dangerous to America since we consume most of the world's oil. Attacking Iran preemptively wnn't work because it will reveal to American people just how greedy we are as a country, and we'll take to the streets protesting. But what many Americans don't realize is that it is our lifestyle of cars, lavish clothes, smoking, expensive higher education, technology, and drug use that leads to the need for such high rates of oil and gas consumption. So for America to be truly economically invincible to this, we'd need to develop a new way of getting that energy or we'd need to take the consumption down a huge step.
