No matter what gun laws are put into effect, it will NOT change a thing. Criminals will not obey the law and will continue to be able to obtain weapons easily. Just like another member pointed out, Timothy McVeigh didn't need guns to kill tons of people. These killers will execute their mission with or without strict gun laws.

I do not know if taking away guns will stop these mass shootings. There are so many elements of society to lay blame. I think first and foremost is the mass media. Crazy people already have guns. I doubt they will give them up.

The one common element in all of these school shootings is that the gunman is a fucking loser who wants attention. He is getting it in more ways than one.

I can tell looking at him he was likely ostracized by his peers. Hell, they were calling him a loser on 4chan. This was a pathetic attempt to make himself seem meaningful as a badass. But in the end he will just be remembered as a pathetic loser in my mind. Sorry for those who died and their families

The guy on 4chan was Toby "Egg Man" Reynolds and it's already been reported by NBC that he was not the shooter.

But the good thing about that 4chan thread is that it shows how this whole UFC-inspired misguided alpha/beta bullshit contributes to the big picture.

You do understand that most people in America do not own a handgun or an "assault weapon," right? And that the majority of gun owners in America do not actually carry, open or otherwise?

Knowing fully that many despise it enough to attack it, does the federal government have to keep putting day cares front and center at ground level in all of their high-profile buildings? And behind mirrored glass, no less, as was the case at the Murrah Building?

McVeigh stated multiple times that had he been aware of the day care, he would've aborted and come up with a new plan.
