Hi all! So I've only posted here maybe once or twice but been a lurker for quite some time. I live here in Roseburg. Born and Raised. My son was actually one of the tweets that went out about his grandma being in the classroom and what happened (page 2 of this thread). I don't think this was actually a religious situation where the shooter was targeting Christians. At first a lot of us did but not so much anymore. I personally think that he was asking if students were Christian only to kind of calm their fears about the pain or the fear of what would happen after they were shot (if that makes sense). He fatally shot other people who were not christians also. My son's grandma (she's in her 50's, young grandma) was in the classroom next door and it was her friend Kim that was shot. Kim fell back inside the classroom and gma started CPR on her. She couldnt save her. There's so much more to her story and it's pretty heartbreaking. Our community has literally been shaken by this but everyone is coming together to be a strong shoulder for each other. I don't imagine there will be many pics of anything to share considering our sherriff is pretty tough on anything that may upset the families or bring attention to the shooter. I mean, we don't even address him by name at all. The shooter's mom lives here in towna nd I've been waiting to see if she will make any kind of statement but I don't think it's going to happen, especially since more and more is coming out about her knowing he was a little disturbed but still really supported him using firearms. For the record, we are a pretty big gun loving area. My husband and I own more than 30 guns ourselves but we're really big on safety and respect. The college campus is a pretty nice campus in a gorgeous area. Very serene, beautiful and quiet area. I've seen some of the reports out there saying this was a hoax or staged but I promise you it's real. I wish it wasn't. Anyways, sorry for being so long winded. Hope I can help give some insight into our area and this horrible tragedy. p.s. The cellar doors poster can eat my ass for being such an ignorant dick. Talk to everyone soon! |

reports coming in that there are more then 100 death in the theater alone.
