Re: Umpqua Community College Shooting by Chris Harper Mercer
I wouldn't be so sure. America with our military and advanced weaponry and technology has given us a false sense of security. I think most Americans would be surprised how easily it can all become useless. Especially when you have such a dependent people, I mean the shit could hit the fan really quick. Power shifts, it always has. Eventually it will be America's turn to fall. Or, at least America will have to fight like our grandfathers and great grandfathers. |

And his fanaticism was in direct response to the actions of the federal government at places like Waco and Ruby Ridge. Those clusterfucks are also just as set in stone. |

I'm not making excuses for anything; I'm trying to get across the point that things like this ALWAYS happen for a reason, regardless of how "legitimate" those reasons may seem to outside observers.

It would have at least shown there was a human side to him. That his mission was meant to hurt "the man" and not innocent people and KIDS. McVeigh was a cold and heartless loser whom deserves to burn in hell.

Exactly, such as lack of pussy or attention from the opposite sex. All these mass-murderers are a bunch of nobodys. The fact that you defend their actions says a lot about you. |

Whatever, broham. Your fixation on pussy as the be-all end-all says a hell of a lot more about you than anything I've said here could actually say about me. When you're ready to abandon your fake internet swinger persona in favor of one that can make a point beyond the capacity of a sex-starved high schooler, feel free to PM me so I'll know to take you off of Ignore. M'kay? |

Re: Umpqua Community College Shooting by Chris Harper Mercer
So it's impossible to feel remorse without showing it? Interesting. And really, how would you or anyone else have processed his humanity? To acknowledge someone's humanity is to legitimize their actions as being human and thus born of the same human impulses and internal machinery that we all possess. But how would that reconcile with people's reflexive need to label him a "demon" or a "monster" or "evil" when human beings are, by all empirical measures, incapable of being any of those things? The answer is that it wouldn't. Any remorse shown would be dismissed as fake or self-interested because it doesn't fit the boogeyman narrative. Otherwise, an acknowledgement of a mass killer's humanity becomes necessary and with that acknowledgement also the realization/admission that even the most inhumane actions are still human in their nature and their origins. |
