Just like every country has mercenaries.. I've said that about Russia before Rob. The reason they don't is because it makes it an obvious territory grab. Putin is trying to keep it under the radar if he can, although he already fucked himself over.

People always need a scapegoat when they are disconnected from reality. In the history books Obama will be remembered for reversing the worst depression since the great depression. All due to economic savvy, but everything is big bad Obama's fault.

No major terror attacks, cheap gas, huge job creation....... He's made some mistakes, but all in all the numbers he's put up are huge.

He's leaving a much better situation than he inherited.

There's also a treaty that was negotiated for Ukraine's independence that allowed thousands of Russian troops in Ukraine.
No doubt there were stipulations to that to prevent then from fighting Ukraine, but Russia does have that right.

Iran: needs $ 100/ barrel to balance the budget

Nigeria: 75 % of its income is from oil, it needs prices at twice they are now to be able to function even as dysfunctionaly as they normally do.

Russia: Its oil and other energy exports total approximately $300 billion annually and 68% of Russia's foreign currency earnings come from the oil-export business, and around 50% of its annual budget is underwritten by the industry.

Well said. This could push a lot of places to the brink.

We are taking a huge hit up here too, its costing our Government billions in lost royalties and investments are going way, way down...... Our Government decided to make us a resource based economy, which is great when the resource is worth something.
