Manhunt update: Bodies believed to be teen murder suspects found near Nelson River, Man. CTV News Vancouver Published Wednesday, August 7, 2019 11:39AM PDT Last Updated Wednesday, August 7, 2019 12:15PM PDT Mounties in Winnipeg announced Wednesday that human remains that they believe belong to two teen B.C. fugitives were discovered near the Nelson River in Manitoba. At a news conference, RCMP officers said the remains, which they believe belong to Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18 were found in dense brush near the river Wednesday morning. This discovery was made after items directly linked to them were found along the river on Friday, allowing RCMP to narrow their search to the area. "I'm confident that it is them," Assistant Commissioner Jane MacLatchy said at a news conference. "To be sure, we have to go to autopsy." An autopsy is being conducted but RCMP say the search for the two teens has concluded. RCMP say the two teens are suspects in the death of Australian Lucas Fowler and his American girlfriend Chynna Deese after their bodies were discovered on the side of a remote portion of the Alaska Highway last month. Autopsy results upcoming. They have to get to a proper lab, refrigerated, cuz it's gross and stinky to dissect a warm body. You cut into a organ and stinky gasses come out.

Does anybody have photos of Chynna Deese after she was murdered? Multiple people people took photos before the murder scene was secured.

B.C. murder suspects died by apparent suicide, autopsy results confirm. The RCMP has confirmed the human remains discovered on August 7 near the Fox Lake Cree Nation in Manitoba are those of Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky. Mounties also confirm the teens died of suicide by gunfire. The Manitoba Medical Examiner completed the autopsies of two bodies RCMP officers found in northern Manitoba and confirmed they belonged to Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky.
