Re: Toddler's Remains Found in Chicago Lagoon *UPDATED*
With a child that young it is hard to tell if there will be any records of it period in such a large town if it was from there. Drug addicts, prostitutes, homeless people etc. can easily go through an entire pregnancy, give birth and the child ends up missing eventually and nobody notices. Mom doesnt report it (if she wasnt the killer) as then she fears issues from not "registering" , for lack of better terms, her child properly nor medical care etc. Where there is any decent sized homeless/ drifter/street populations you will see many unidentified child remains/death cases. Sorta like the baby girl they found. She was from that area but nobody knows who she is and she was pre-school enrollment age. |

Re: Toddler's Remains Found in Chicago Lagoon *UPDATED*
There was one case I remember reading about from NYC area. Baby found beaten to death.....nobody identified, claimed the child and the case went cold. Many years later after an arrest for unrelated charges a woman came clean saying she had been a homeless drug addict that had turned to prostitution, given birth on the street after becoming knocked up by a client or raped by her pimp....something like that. Well the pimp eventually killed the baby to punish the woman for something and dumped the body. She testified in court against him in exchange for a reduced sentence and immunity on the murder charges. Had she not been arrested, that baby would have remained unidentified. |
