True, but I also didn't originally mention just how many years this went on before he struck back. This man had to endure even his mother and her partners raping him, not just the one boy. His own mother. Yes, stolkhome syndrome is very much a reality for him. He realizes it, too. People we are supposed to trust when we're kids (parents, babysitters, older children, school officials) are the very people who hurt him over and over again. Yet, he's been told so many times that they loved him so much, that he's gotten confused by it and does feel bad about loosing them. He just wants to tell his cunt of a mother how much he loved her, even if he hated her. He's so upset about not having the chance to have a good relationship with his mother that he thinks I should bring mine back into my life despite the terrible lows he's seen her reach with a smile. stolkhome syndrome... yes. But don't you have to have a conscious in order to get it? |

His dad only found out two years ago what went on during that time. He said that when his dad heard that, the man said he wished he'd known sooner. That way he could have leveled the place with whatever he could get his hands on. His dad would have, I'm sure... but the man I know hid it in order to protect his dad. He, as a child, thought he was protecting his dad by not talking about any of it. He was so closed off at the "camp" that he didn't know any better. |

I'd be so proud of my dad if I learned that when I was a tot, he 'dealt' with scum who could have potentially scarred me for life on every level.

your friend sounds like he has stolkhome syndrome and a bit too much of a conscious to me. quite frankly if someone was attacking my child I would kill them and enjoy every second of it.
