On the Eastern cape where Jbay is, there's been 98 shark attacks in 100 years 14 of those were fatal..considering I drive in a car everyday and 1000's of people are involved in road accidents, I like the shark odds better.

Even up here in Northern California, where the water is cold - there was a abalone diver who went head first off his boat, right into the path of a shark.

It bit his head off.
His diving partner on the boat was witness.

I thought it was one of the most awesome things I'd ever heard.

I have only surfed 3 times in my life and never really paid attention to the sport of it but it is a fucking crazy sport! if its not surfing in shark infested waters its using boat to launch themselves into giant waves that would crush you if they came down wrong!
