Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

It doesn't matter what "you say".

They DO NOT. usually expand.

Also, the "always causes more damage" opinion is nonsense.

Damage is not limited by whether or not a bullet wound is a through and through or not.

There are a lot of variables in play.

You can be hit several times by rounds that stay in the body and live.

You can be killed by one that nicks an artery on a 1" through and through. Such as a nicked Carotid Artery in a through and through neck wound.

It doesn't matter what "you think".

It's not really a question of ammunition quality.

That's just another thing you made up.

What it boils down to is BULLET PLACEMENT.

That determines the damage done and whether a JHP will expand or NOT.

Yes they do. And bullet quality absolutely matters. Hollow points usually expand and or fragment. Doesn't matter if you can't except that, doesn't change the fact it's what they do.
I'm confident from your post you don't know what you're talking about.
Any person with a once of sense can determine that a bullet stopping in the body causes more damage. Your body absorbs the energy of a projectile moving at 1800 to 2000 mph if your body stops it. If it passes through, your body doesn't absorb that energy.
A fmj round has more penetrating power compared to a hp. And hp are useless unless you are using at least a 9mm. A 22 projectile is too small and doesn't have the power to make the bullet perform as intended most of the time.
I've fired thousands of rounds into many different objects. So I'm not talking about what I think. I know what each one of my weapons is capable of. And how much difference different ammunitions make in the same weapon.
Of course bullet placement matters that goes without saying. Nobody is saying fmj rounds are not just as deadly.
But anyone who knows guns knows ammunition quality is very important. For proper cycling, corrosive priming, target consistency, even less smoke and fouling and cleaning.

Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

Lots of hollow points shot out of handguns don't expand, they get clogged up with fabric or just don't have enough velocity to generate the hydraulic effect needed to make them expand.

Once you realize the ammo/ gun manufacturers are trying to get .45acp diameter/ wound channel out of smaller caliber pocket pistols by using expanding bullets or higher velocity, it's clear bigger is better.

I certainly hope they have dashcam footage that clearly shows what happened.

That way this can be over.

If you're using a small hand gun you are right. But it's not all about expanding. It's also about fragmenting.

I agree with Mr Black on this one. Hollow point bullets do cause more damage. It's not magic or witchcraft, it's simple physics.

Your video is a example of what my experiences have been with hollow points. They are designed to do more damage. That's the entire reason for them. They're also good for police forces because they are less likely to pass through a target and hit someone else.

Gotta watch for those killer melons attacking people, are you sure one is deader than the other?

Hollow point ammunition is 100% illegal here. Only the police can carry them.

It's true for any caliber.

It's NOT about fragmenting because you won't have fragmenting without expansion.

And most JHP's will NOT expand in real life situations.

Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

I know Bill O' is regarded on about the same level as howard stern, but on a political level. At least he has the balls to call Al. Sharpton oit on his bullshit, all on mainstream news.

One key point, in the USA, we are suppose to be innocent until proven guilty (theologically) but Al. Sharpton, a highly paid pundit (yea right) for a supposedly politically correct group, is slinging a guilty verdict.

Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

You're a complete fucking jackass. All you do is repeat yourself like a bird without providing a shred of evidence.

Round point VS hollow point bullets

As the video clearly shows. The hp bullet releases it's energy on the target. And the standard bullet just cuts through keeping it's energy. It's basically undeniable that hp bullets can cause more harm. But they don't have the penetrating power. Hollow points are less likely to go through a vest.
