LEOs don't carry revolvers anymore; .40 cal GLOCKs are the most common service pistol, but many departments are going to 9mm. In the Ferguson shooting Darrin Wilson appears to have shot Michael Brown with .40 GLOCK.

Not necessarily.

MOST hollow points never expand.

They will only expand if hitting something hard like a large enough piece of bone.

Generally, in real life shooting, they do the same damage as a FMJ round.
