Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

That store that Brown robbed was looted last night. What a surprise. These thugs should be jailed. Why that city is pulling it's police force out is insane. They are just giving the looters and protesters the city. Allowing them to do as they wish. Break any law and steal whatever they wish.
And those who say that video doesn't have anything to do with the shooting. It may be the case the officer didn't know about it. But if all these people want to get on camera and say he was a gentle giant. That he never harmed anyone and was a upstanding citizen. That video is important because it shows that's not the case. They said he was on his way to college That's false. He was on his way to prison.
Doesn't mean he should have been shot. But if they want to portray him as this angel. It's only fair that the portrayal is accurate.
First off, the cop didn't know that he was a suspect in the robbery. Secondly, no this kid was no angel but that doesn't mean he should've been shot eight times. If being an angel was required to avoid getting shot, then you should have been blown away long ago. The reason the video shouldn't of been released is that it's potentially prejudicial it has nothing to do with the alleged crime that this officer is being accused of.

The video was released due to an FOIA request from the media.

It is infuriating that the police did nothing while those piece of SHIT thugs looted and destroyed that store. So now because they are dealing with a city full of pissed off looters, it's now OK to allow them to do all the damage they want and start fires with no legal ramifications. I can't believe the B.S. that is happening. What are the police paid to do? Cleary not protect and serve in terms of protecting the businesses in that city. If I were a business owner I would be suing the City. What bullshit.

The video speaks volumes about the character of Michael Brown. It shows that he was nothing more than a street thug who thought he was being stopped because he had stolen property on his person.

The officer did not initially stop him because of the robbery, but when he saw the cigars he made the connection that he was dealing with the suspect in the robbery.

The kid did not deserve to die, unless he was indeed reaching for the officers gun, then all bets are off. Initially I defended this "gentle giant", and questioned the officers story, but now I am seeing a different side to this "Angel" who did not deserve to die, but was a thug who had just robbed and assaulted that store owner 10 minutes beforehand.

Re: St. Louis Riots After Cop Kills Unarmed Teen

There is a press conference on now. They set a curfew of midnight tonight. Should be interesting. They are taking questions and clearly common sense is not a part of this community. Their behavior is ridiculous and demonstrates how stupid the majority of these people are.

Instead of understanding the reason for the curfew, there were people bitching because the authorities are "more concerned about the security of the streets and businesses vs arresting that killer police officer".

I hope they grow some balls and arrest all looters tonight as well as anyone who violates the curfew.

If you could read you would have seen I posted the fact the cop may have not known.
And I also said that crime or any crime for that matter, gives a cop reason to shoot someone who poses no threat.
I like how you create you're own account of what I said. Even throwing in I should be shot
I stand by what I said. The video should of been released. That altercation and robbery happened right before the shooting. It shows him as a violent criminal. Prejudicial to whom? To the people who've declared he was a saint? Give me a break. That evidence has to be made public. It's a video of him committing a robbery minutes before the shooting. Who cares if the cop knew. I'll tell you who did know Brown. What do you think was going through his mind when a cop pulls up right after he robbed a store? Do you really buy the story that the other person with him states? That they were just on a walk not bothering anybody Hmmm. That video is concrete evidence that story is a lie. Which makes it awfully possible that much of his account is a lie.
You're basing your opinion on what happened there based on a "witness" that started his statement with a lie.
I'm not saying the shooting was justified. I'm not saying it was not. There's plenty of people speculating and look where that got that community.
I think the entire thing is a disgrace. If that cop committed a crime, that's a disgrace. What those looters and thugs are doing is a disgrace.
Everyone should let the system work.

I agree 100%. Even if that cop is a guilty piece of shit. That doesn't mean that the people taking to the streets are now immune from the law. And the police need to run and hide and allow the law to be broken. So many people there taking advantage of the situation.
Like the race hustlers Sharpton and Jackson.

During the press conference (they called it a community meeting, it was more like a community shout fest ), the main black officer who has been put in charge (can't recall his name) said that last night he had 3 or 4 officers trapped in a parking lot and had to send in a tank to rescue them, as they were surrounded by rioters. One of the officers let off tear gas and this was mentioned at the meeting, and he said even though this was not pre approved by him, it was necessary.

To show how screwed up the news is...CNN was interviewing a "protester" on their show just now who claimed all was peaceful last night "Until the cops showed up in an armored tank and became intimidating and letting off tear gas" Insinuating that the presence of the tank was the reason the crowds started rioting and starting fires.
Not once did the news reporter correct her and explain what really led to the arrival of the tank.
It's infuriating how the news is tip toeing around calling anyone out or presenting the truth.

"He didn't deserve to die..."

The fact is that he did deserve to die.
