A red panda at Maruyama Zoo in Japan has become an internet star after its amusing reaction to a zookeeper entering its enclosure was captured on camera by a visitor.
In the video, three red pandas, also known as firefoxes, are gathered around a bowl at feeding time.
The sudden appearance of a zookeeper's wellington boot in the doorway causes one of the cubs to nearly jump out of its skin in fright.
Letting out a screech it falls over backwards in surprise.
The video, which was uploaded a week ago, has gone viral, attracting more than one million views on YouTube.

He stepped down off a step accidently scaring him, not on purpose.

Stupid for enclosing them in the first place maybe but just a genuine accident i see here, not intent to cause harm.

I thought so too, poor little thing. I hate to see animals enclosed anyway. And yes, I know that in the wild they can starve, etc. But that's nature.
