Re: Six Flags Puts Final Piece on New Wooden Coaster Goliath
In 1981 the same park premiered "The American Eagle"....127 foot incline and 147 feet down....(it went 20 feet under the ground!!) It is a double wooden coaster and at the time was the biggest. My family had season tickets and we literally spent summers up at the amusement part....we would go and stay from Friday night thru Sunday....it was so much fun!! We went for it's grand opening...it was a blast!! My dad always had to be in the first car and would go the entire ride with his hands up in the air!! I have gone on The Eagle a handful of times, that first drop is FUCKING HELL on the belly!!! Jake has been on it once, and he hated it! Now, I would never go on it, but back in my teen years, I was up for anything! (roller coaster related that is!!) |

Re: Six Flags Puts Final Piece on New Wooden Coaster Goliath
That is going to be one sooper dooper High Maintenance contraption. Wooden roller coasters 'can' be very safe but require an enormous amount of time and constant attention to keep them operating safely. |
