There is no such data in our IDs. You're birth place of course is on it and collected. The word "Race" is only used for breeds in modern german language. The "race" issue is only discussed if it is about racism. Race does not exits as a legal term in Germany. Even "Ethnie" is highly controversial. There is even a non-binding convention among german media that the ethnic background of persons should not be mentioned in articles and reports that talk about criminality. They can even be "rebuked" if they fail to comply (without any consequences, of course) It's true, really.

I'm not one to judge. History, and politicians since, has pretty much driven the anti-identity narrative into German's skulls for decades.
