Most likely for Propaganda purposes, They don't need to show the entire beheading because simply hearing the stark warning prior to the execution and then fading out/in and then showing the victims head on their body would be enough to make people/governments take notice.

I imagine the idea would be logically to cause the governments that the video's are aimed at, A feeling of shock and alarm at what they've just witnessed.

I'd say their idea is working since it's been plastered all over the media on TV/Newspapers/Online.

The fact of the matter is if we paid the 132 million for the first guy. The next guy will be 150 million, and the next 175. That's how it works, which is why America doesn't pay ransoms. ok. It's actually all based on logic based on what has been established. And of course we shouldn't pay. We would be buying the bullets and bombs they use to kill innocent people. Not to mention if we start down the road of paying ransoms we would be paying them ransoms every time they need money.
