In my opinion that is not a valid reason to be so sensitive about it. For 200+ years us aussies have been called convicts and criminals because our country was founded as a British penal colony. It still happens today but no one goes all PC for us, we just shrug it off, have a laugh about it, or ignore it. I guess what i am saying is maybe it is time you yanks moved past getting butthurt over stupid stuff like this. |

feel free to groan me but Ive got to say whoever thought that was a good idea is a total fucktard. The people offended have a point IMO Black history day/month always struck me as strange. I have a lot of mates from different parts of Africa and their cultures and traditions are totally different from each other. Even within countries there are major diffences between regions, religions, tribes and castes, the notion that you can some how lump them all into one convenient group is slightly ridiculous. Im supprised more black people are not offended by being lumped all together. Having said that I would and do understand celebrating the civil rights movement for example |

Black History month is a farce. It is racist and as a result further separates black people from the rest of society/humanity based solely on race. Wasn't the Civil Rights Movement supposed to promote the opposite? |
