Re: Satanic Starbucks
i have said this ad nauseam.... im not attacking anybody directly, only the beliefs. how did me criticizing this article turn into me attacking you? were you the person in the article? you can think i go overboard if you'd like... i have expressed my reasons numerous times for doing so and i will again. i live in a society where religious nonsense is overwhelming. i also raise children in this society. i cannot morally stand by and do nothing to fix the society my children have to live in. breaking social taboos and attacking a religion (not the religious or believers of the religion) that is based on the idea that human sacrifice was needed is a must if i wish to one day live in a moral society. like i mentioned, why is it not offensive to have a statue of a human sacrifice in a public place? if i did that, then asked why you didnt 'respect my faith', how horrible of a person would you think i was? if the man being sacrificed were jesus, why does that make it moral? if you dont wish to talk about religion, than dont. |

Re: Satanic Starbucks
how could religion (a belief system) kill people on it's own? it's the promotion of ignorance and belief in a life after death with no proof that grants people the opportunity to kill people in the name of the religion...that and the commandments by a god for which there is not proof of that tells people to kill. guns dont tell people to kill nearly as often as the God of Abraham does. i think a written warning would be enough. if it were a pattern of behavior that was continuous, i would fire them. |

Re: Satanic Starbucks
fair enough. this isnt the place anyway. i was just commenting on the story, not trying to start a debate. i will be making a thread about creationism in the science area soon (when i have more time) if you'd like to continue the conversation. i respect and like you too. you dont have to agree with me and i respect that you dont. |
