I liked a few of his shows, I remember enjoying him as Alan B'stard and he had a few cameo's on Blackadder. Couldn't get into his other shows which I saw, things like Bottom and The Young Ones.

I was a huge Young Ones fan, but I liked pretty much everything he did. Bottom not so much though.

I saw most of these shows for the first time in the late 90's and by then they seemed pretty dated. Might be why most of those shows didn't connect with me. Blackadder and The New Statesman were old too but I liked them anyway. You're around my age aren't you or are you older?

I'm 37, born in 77. Yeh I got into the young ones pretty early, I think it was 80s. I was too young but I used to sneak to watch it

Yeah, I was born in '82 and from memory it wasn't until about '97 or '98 when we got our fourth free to air channel in New Zealand that I had a chance to see most of those shows!

Haha you're only a baby! Yeh we had like, 2 channels most of my childhood. I think it was ABC and Channel 10. I remember getting 7 and 9 and it was like a dream come true!
